Personal background
I am currently enrolled at Oregon Institute of Technology, pursuing a degree in Psychology. I plan on furthering my education to the PhD. level; however, I plan on pursing paranormal psychology. I don't think there are many schools with this credential offered..

Currently my system consists of MSI K7D Master motherboard, running Dual MP 1900s, with 768 MB of RAM, and 100GB HD, I normally run SETI 24/7 to say the least. Currently My times/ WU are like 4hrs 9min, I want to break into the 3hr range. Let’s see what happens... I am running the command-line version, thanks to cyoul8r, also an OIT Group member.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1.) Absolutely, because if there wasn't it sure would be an awful waste of space. (Contact)

Humans will be the discovered before we discover other life, I am sure we
have already been discovered, So now it’s Our turn!

I think that most of humanity would probably panic if we discovered others.

2.) Aren't we transmitting daily, they get out TV shows, and radio broadcasts already. Do we really need to send more? Shoot, are we trying to be the Jahovah Witness' of the galaxy? knock, knock, knock, anyone out there? Can we talk to you?

3.) The reason I run SETI, is because I believe that there is intelligent life out there, and who knows, my computer might just find it. That would be cool. Wonder if I would get anything for that.

The project is great, wish I would have started it sooner, Fun stuff.
