Personal background
The picture is of me at the campus celebration following the Duke Blue Devils winning the 2001 college basketball National Champtionship.

I was born in Memphis, Tennessee (home of blues music, barbeque, and Fedex) and grew up there. I graduated from Duke University with a B.S.E. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in 2000, and again with a M.S. in Electrical Engineering in 2002.

Currently, I reside in Bellevue, WA where I work for Microsoft.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I believe that extraterrestrial life exists. Most likely, however, we will not make contact with other intelligent life before life on our planet has been extinct for millenia.

If my spare computer cycles can help out mankind in our quest for knowledge and exploration, then I'm all for it!
