I must admit I don't believe in ET. I use SETI as a benchmarking tool for my frankenstien masterpieces in computer technology. Maybe we will find him/her/it or maybe not. Only God knows whats out there.
Should we try to contact other life forms? And say what? Hey, wanna come meet a human race that can't even get along with others of its own kind? Sure, why not.
Fear of the unknown has always been mankind's weakest flaw. We persecute what ever it is we don't understand, believe in, or agree with. What makes us think we are going to be happy about findind a race that we know nothing about? That is a good question. |
