I'm a 43 year-old computer technician born in Portugal, but living in Sweden.
I have always been interested in astronomy but I have dedicated my life to
computers and especially, Operating Systems and programming.
I like movies, music and COMPUTERS, Reference manuals are mostly the
books I read.
I found the S@H project in a Science magazine I subscribe too, but I
couldn't get it to work behind a firewall, so I gave that up, but recently
I recognized the screen saver on my collegue's screen at work, and
that he was running a newer release than the one I had tested before.
So I was hooked from then on.
One of the most special moments in my life was when I and my father
sat togheter watching the live broadcast of when Apollo 11 landed on
the moon (that was in the middle of the night (swedish time) if I remember
right). |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I run S@H because I think it is for a GOOD cause, and if I can do just so
little and maybe make *that* difference, then I certain would like
to be a part of it.
It would be strange if we were the only life out there. I sure hope
we don't miss anything out there by not searching. |
