Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
It would be an awful waste of space if we were all that managed to emerge as intelligent life in this vast universe. Because of that I run Seti@home on all my 3 machines in the hope that I can help locate the pin in the haystack. I like the idea of a grand collective effort that cleverly uses the otherwise wasted resources of all the computers involved.
