1. Yes, they exist, but when they are discovered, i don't know... I don't think that our generation will find any lifeforms, but the next generation will find traces of it.
2. Maybe.... Not anyone on this planet wants to be "found". I think that if we send anything in space, everybody must agree... and probable that won't happen.
3. I like to contribute to projects. I like to "try and search for lifeforms". Maybe it's useless, maybe not. At least it bonds people online :)
