Yes extraterrestrial life does exist, why should it be only us on this planet that have become self aware
I believe that when we are contacted by extraterrestrial life it will be because they want to be contacted by us not just because we want to contact them, as to weather it is actually a physical contact we shall have to wait and see.
I believe that if extraterrestrial life can visit us on this planet then they will be friendly as the will have power at their disposal that we can only dream of, so for our sake I hope they are.
Should we transmit becons for extraterrestrial life, we already do although what they would make of daytime TV or Jerry Springer I shudder to think
