Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. Yes, the universe is too vast for us to be the only life. I think we will discover it within the next ten year, however; contact is probably a century away. If intelligent life is discovered a new unity on this planet will exist that will for the first time transcend the scientific community. Would another race be benign? We can only hope.

2. I believe we are already transitting enough.

3. I run seti@home because I believe that we are not alone and I believe that it is important that we find out.
