Personal background
I'm from New Jersey (USA). I'm 33, and I work as a computer programmer. Some of my interests include working out, music, movies, reading, the beach, hanging out with friends, Philly sports, dating. God, this sounds like a darn personal ad! The only reason I'm typing this up is because I've nothing else to do at the moment.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I certainly do believe in the possibility that extraterrestrial life exists. To say that this is not possible is foolish and absurd to me. The universe is so large, and our view of it so small, that to apply our 1% of the space we can observe with the 99% that lies outside of our ability to study it seems close-minded and plain dumb. On the other hand, I don't blindly believe every single little sighting or conspiracy theory regarding UFO's, alien abductions, etc. that come down the pike. To quote Carl Sagan, "extraordinary claims require extraordinary data". That's why I like the SETI project. It attempts to find that extraordinary data. Some interesting things do come our way, though. Take this picture, for example. It's part of a fresco in Kosovo, and dates from the 14TH CENTURY. Lively imagination or......?
