Personal background
I live in Essex, UK. I am a Astrophysics student with the University of Hertfordshire.
But I am currently on a work placement at the Pic du Midi Observatory France.
At the observatory I am currently doing Stellar Magnetism research work and using the 2 metre telescope at Pic du midi. When observing with the telescope we try and detect magnetic fields on Ap stars and when not observing I do some data reduction and modeling of know magnetic Ap stars.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think there must be some life out there.
We are all children of the sun so to speak, so with all the other billions of stars there must be other "children" some where.
I Think seti@home is a great idea, maybe more branches of astronomy should consider such a program.
