Personal background
I am 37. I have a BA in History and Philosophy, a submajor in Computer Science. I also did an elective in Astronomy. I have been interested in the seti programme since it started but was unable to get the seti@home programme until a few days ago... I work as an IT professional... when i am working that is... anyway enough for now.. maybe i will tell more later

Lets find those ET's and make 'em feel @home.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think it does. The universe is way to big with way too many galaxies for there to be intelligent life on just one insignificant planet circling one insignificant (but important to us) star. The odds are against it anyway... or they should be.

Yes we should transmit a beacon... but then we have been ever since radio was produced by Marconi. We should look at the info already sent about us... Hitler on tv!!!! what must they think.

I run seti so that we can find what we are seeking sooner. The more that do the better. As for my views... well... better late than never! We should use more radio telescopes and search a larger part of the sky... hook some up together to get a broader and more powerful signal. I know it costs money... how much do we spend on war?!?
