Profile: Neo2002

Personal background
I am 27 years hold and I have joined seti@home on December 2002 because permanent access to Internet is very recent in France using ADSL technology. I have registered Seti@home since I have this access at home.
I am engineer in informatics and working as Windows architect for an international society and I use my personal computers for programming IA and for playing role games.
I do love animals, so I have a white cat and some parakeets having lots of babies. I have succeeded is educating the cat not disturbing the parakeets.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Of course, I think that extraterrestrial life exists. There are so many stars that it seams impossible that another planet like the earth could not exist, so I think that life like in earth must exist somewhere else. But when will we discover it? We have waited for so long before trying to listen for a signal from another world, and will we continue like this for long? We are covering nor the whole frequencies nor the whole sky so it can take a long time… and if “they” are doing the same thing in another world, the chance we have it really small.
I am a bit pessimist, but I have 4 computers working 24 hours a day for Seti@home (2 Pentium 3 above 1Ghz and 2 Pentium IV above 1.8 Ghz) and I hope we will soon find something…
