Why do I run SETI@home?
We need to look at space more, because space is are future. If we turn are backs on space we will eventually die. Why? Like Agent Smith said on the The Matrix(1999) We are a virus of this planet we comsume everything then move on. One day there will be nothing left to move on to.
Should humans transmit a beacon?
Let's just say we did, and some nice aliens visited us, well that's all good. But I bet at this point we would probably have a good chance of some bad ones visiting us as well. With that said, I still think it would be a good idea.
