Personal background
Well, I'm pretty boring...I live in the Mississippi Delta area, I'm 28, I spend way too much time online, to hear others say, but I don't think I spend enough!!

I have heard about the SETI project for a long time, and I happened upon a site and saw something about it, so I figured what the heck, I'll check it and see what it's all about.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Well..I guess the question has been on my mind, at times when I am out at night and looking at the sky, I think to myself that this is a pretty big universe and maybe out there somewhere, there are other beings, creatures, or something.

Yeah I think a beacon would be good..It should say something like welcome, or be just a greeting of some kind.

I run SETI@home out of interest in the program, to see what its all about, and to know that I am just the "little guy" helping all the big players who are doing the real work, the ones who dedicate themselves fully to the prospect that there may be, in fact, life out there. And to know that maybe, juuust maybe , my old clunker will be the one to decipher a message of some kind. That would be really cool I think, and scary at the same time, but cool nonetheless!! lol
