I am from Germany even though I have lived in many places already. Currently I am an IT Project Manager. I started my carreer at the age of 10 when I sold my first software for a hand full of dollars (anyway it was only a hand full of bites then also ;o). I love the posibillities computers give us even though I think that as usual man kind makes only little benefit of it.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I am participating in Seti@Home since the very beginning. I know it is very unlikely to catch one of those signals out there in space even though I am sure they exist. It is not easy to find something you have never seen before and of what you got no idea what it looks like. But hey if u never try u got no chance at all.
I think it is a wonderfull thing that so many users all over the world share a little of their time to make this project work. And it shows one more time how powerfull it is if such a lot of people give only this little. I wished there would be more projects over the world that work like Seti@Home. We could really change this word to a better home for all of us. Just imagine one fine day we really get visitors from out there... god we had to be so ashamed of the messy home we are living in... we really should do something about it!
