Personal background
Well what can I say about myself? First, I live near Alexandria Minnesota. I am the owner of Legacy Hearing Centers in Alexandria. I Test hearing, and I fit and service hearing Aids. This after a log carreer in Aircraft maintenance. I started as a US Marine CH-53E Crew chief, later switching to weekend warrior status in the Air National Guard as an F-16 Crew chief while working full time as a Technician on EMS Helicopters for 21 years. Although it was a rewarding career, I was overdue for a change and decided to get my Hearing Instrument Dispenser Certification and started my own practice. I retired from military service in 2007 as well.

I was the first in my Marine barracks to have a personal Computer, an Atari 800xl. Does that date me? I've been running SETI@home off and on since around 2002. I enjoy gaming, yard work, motorcycling, fishing and hunting, tinkering with cars in my garage, trying my best to develop a real working improbability drive, and whatever else pops up.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home

1. It would be cool to be the first to find a signal from somewhere

2. Not sure if intelligence will ever be found, but, it's the universe, it's huge, we might find something unexpected!
