Profile: James Burk

Personal background
Hello, this is James Burk -- I am an independent space writer and the founder and editor of MarsNews.com and ProjectConstellation.US. I've been a strong advocate of space exploration, and have served as past President of the Seattle, WA chapter of the Mars Society and national Vice President of the Moon Society/Artemis Society.

I work as a software developer and project manager, most recently with Microsoft/MSN. My independent consulting firm, Centuari Solutions, is available to provide internet/e-commerce services to companies worldwide.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I have run Seti@Home since the beginning of the project. While I do not generally support the idea of SETI using radio telescopes, I feel that this project is important for its advancement of distributed computation and has highlighted the ability for direct grassroots support of space-related projects.
