I am 62 years of age and live in the city of Kingston-Upon-Hull,Yorkshire,England. I am retired through ill-health and my hobbies are Astronomy -computing-model making(ships and aircraft).I am a Ex Royal Air Force.and speak regularly with friends in Australia/U.S.U and Canada.Always had an avid interest inextra-terresrial activity since I bought my first space comic at the age of 4 years.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Out of all the Billions of Galaxies that exist-it seems to me that we are most arrogant if we think we are the only life in the universe. I sometimes wonder if with all the conflict on this planet-whether we are all descendents of alien races and we may not be indiginous to this planet! That is another train of thought altogether though! I believe that what SETI are doing wil eventually prove successful. The science of contact is in the universal language of mathmatics -I belive this will happen sooner than anyone thinks!
I belive we should have a constant beacon,transmitting to all corners of the universe! In all likelihood there is a planet similar to our own with Equally intelligent life-doing exactly the same as we!
