Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
As a Star Trek & Science-Fiction Fan, running SETI@home was and is the natural choice of what I can do to participate in some way in the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence. And yes, I believe that there are somewhere in outer space aliens unlike us. If someone thinks of all the billions and trillions of star systems out there, there must be at least one other planet with intelligent life on it. It just feels right that we are not alone in this universe. If we could find them - or perhaps they find us - we might be able to put aside our petty differences and unite our people under a single cause - this might deliver us the peaceful future we all hope for!
