I fully support our aerospace program, most especially in light of this latest tragedy with the Columbia and the loss of her crew. I hope someday that WE may be the aliens found in someone else's sky.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I believe that it is the highest arrogance to imagine that we are unique in this universe as intelligent beings. I believe the government would like to hide such a discovery as it would be globally destabilizing. As far as sending out a beacon, it is too late to stop as we have been sending electromagnetic signals for many years now. It would be nice to be sending a strong, coherent signal from orbit or the moon.
