I am 24 years old. I spent my years majoring in Information technology. I spent two years getting my networking degree and another two acquiring my MIS degree. I have worked for the likes fo Accenture, JP/Morgan Chase and now think I'm settling down into a nice quiet job at Siemens Transporation where I am in charge of maintaing system integrity and reliability at a New York project office. I currently have three seti crunching machines. One Dell power edge PIII server with 1 GB of ram, One Dell optiplex GX110 Desktop unit with 128MB of ram. One Athlon 1.2GHZ processor with 512MB of ram.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I have been running seti off and on for about 2 years and I think that this is one of the single most important projects that I have taken to be part of. Because we never know what might be out there unless we look for it.
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
