Personal background |
I was born in Granada, Spain, though I currently live in Madrid. I've worked as a freelance programmer for several years now and love computer science and mathematics, which I currently study at the Complutense University. I'm also very interested in philosophy and cognitive sciences, specially AI.
I often help in the spanish Wikipedia. I've also participated in some open source projects (PHPlot, a bit of KDE and some others) and always try to share my work. So sharing CPU cycles made the most sense to me since the very beginning of SETI@Home. |
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
It's been many years running SETI@home, both classic and BOINC-based, but recently I realized that there were many other projects, with more short-term, achievable goals, in need of computing power. So I decided to join Predictor@home,rosetta@home, LHC@home and QMC@home, among which I split my humble computing resources and those of my poor friends and family who understand nothing of this but are nonetheless "cheated" to run BOINC! ;-) |
