Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I am convinced that there's life elsewhere in the universe. Not because of some cheap "belief" but because of knowledge about logical calculations and research of the values that are needed for life to exist. It's not the question wether there's life elsewhere in the universe. The question is; when we are going to discover it? And what are we going to do with it?

The plaquettes send with both the Voyager and Pioneer spaceships was our first serious effort to let the universe know we exist. Strangely we're unaware of the fact that we've already been transmitting signals over the years with our radiofrequencies and communication sattelites.I think the time will come that we seriously consider the possibility of life elsewhere and that we'll build a large beacon to let the universe know that we are here.

The SETI@home project is a good initiative because of the working together of people all around the world that do believe in this kind of research. The SETI@home project seems to me a step into the right direction!
