Q:Do you think extraterrestrial life exists? If so, when and how will humans discover it?
A: I believe extraterrestrial life exists.
Q: What are the possible benefits and dangers of such a discovery?
A: Benefits: Endless possiblities for further knowledge and hope for the continued existance of human kind (no joke); dangers: I couldn't even begin on this one. However, horrible infections come to mind...for them and for us.
Q: Should humans transmit a beacon for others to find? If so, what information should we send?
A: Of course. But I have no new idea - a binary code of the basics of all our languages would probably be best.
Q: Why do you run SETI@home?
A: Curiosity.
