Hi! I'm CCC - Nothing amazing about me really! I signed up with Seti firstly to help find the little green men with everyone else (even though they're grey! And have little toothpick arms and legs...) And secondly to join The SG-5 group here becasue (Long story short) I'm a big SG-1 fam, SG-5 is my team and? Well there you are!
I have a website CCC's Stargate Lab which again is nothing amazing but hey! Who's counting points?
See you around if ever!

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. Of course Extraterrestrial life exists! I mean think about it. If there's like 1 in so many million chance that life exists on a planet - And there's life on Earth, doesn't that mean with *billions* of planets somewhere somewhere has the same chance?
Discovering it would be amazing! Of course there's always a danger but if we all went around with our heads buried in the sand we'd never learn anything would we? There's bound to be risk involved but that comes with most things in life. I think it's acceptable.
Benefits would be we could learn and shares from and with each other and see how an entrirely different race of lifeforms live and interact with things.
2. A beacon? Well in theory its a good idea but what *would* we say? Would anyone be able to pick it up and make sence of it? Or would they see it as a threat?
3. I run Seti@Home to hopefully one day, make a valid contributoin to proving that there *is* something else out there!
