Personal background
My name is Sabrina, I'm 17 years old and I come from Germany.
I still go to a high school and I will attend university for studying
computer science or something like that in about 2 years. But after I leave high school I want to go to New Zealand for a year with a work & travel program.
I had heard about this SETI project a few years ago, but I never really knew what it was about and today I decided to check out the website and I liked the idea and I think it's just fun trying it.
Btw, if anyone wants to visit my website, check it out, we're always in need for users and workers in our team. ;)
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I absolutely think that extraterrestrial life exists because I really can't believe we're the only ones out there. I have actually no idea how and when humans will discover it, but I think one day we will and I hope it's not gonna be like in any of those alien movies, know what I mean? I can't believe "aliens" are absolutely good or absolutely evil, I guess they'll be a bit like us as there are not that many possibilities how they would look like or act. I think we sould transmit a beacon for others to find and I think the information provided in it should be things out of our history, evolution, developing of humankind and things like that. I guess this would be the most interesting stuff for others to know.
I run SETI@home because I think it's a really really good idea to find out about extraterrestrial life. It somehow unites all the users that run the program and everyone's excited if he or she might find something. I hope someday we're gonna make the discovery of our lives.
