Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think there is life elsewhere , I mean heck, to think we can be the only living beings in all of the vast space out there is absurd!! its just pompass and hypocritical to believe that we could be the only ones!
I do not know if we should beam any signals out there, perhaps Ive just watched 1 too many sci-fi flicks, but it would be rather nieve to believe that any life form that may exist out there would be friendly, after all if you were an Alien and seen how poorly our society is functioning, witnessed the constant hostility we inflict on each other, and how we destroy our planet little by little each day ..... would you welcome the people of earth with a smile? or just take them out like as though they were nothing more than cockroaches?
Maybe what ever the scientists and over the top beyond commonsense and reason nuts out there who beam stuff into space should not give exact co-ordinates, any DNA data , or anything else that could get us all into a heap of trouble.... just incase .

On the bright side maybe the life forms would be something like us except hopefully less violent, maybe , just maybe we are the ancestors of pioneers from another world?
who knows? your guess and theories are just as good as mine , maybe we will find life , maybe we wont, in the mean time lets all have fun trying.
