Personal background
Hello ! I'm Sebastien from La Gaude, near Nice in France. I'm 30 and i'm working for IBM Global Services. As many people working in services, i'm always going far away from my home travelling a lot in France, Switzerland and Belgium. But now as I'm working in Outsourcing, i'm happy to stay at the same place for a long period, but still travelling around the world only for holidays.
I'm interested in Computers and Internet, as well as walking on a sunny beach, having good time with friends, eating and drinking good things !
I'm also interested in ice hockey (especially NHL), rubgy and soccer.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I heard something about SETI@Home at the TV, so I've downloaded it to try ...
It's a great idea for this big erious project : use the power of millions computers all around the world ... and as the computers became more and more powerfull, you'll get more and more results in less and less time !
My though about extraterrestrial life : unless there are some scientific proofs, i don't think that extraterrestrial life exist.
But how did humanity make more technological exponential progress in the last 100 years than in 7000 years of "civilisation" ? That's one of my question ...
