Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1:Of course it exists. When we will discover it I do not know, but I hope that'll be while I'm alive. A great benefit will be the chance of exploring something new. A lot of young people do not have purpose in their lives. That'll be something to live about - to find a new world full of new things.
I think that the biggest danger is not finding anything. That'll be a total lost of space :)
2:It won't be bad, but only if it's not verry expensive. We can transmit some binnary code.
3:This is a possibility of finding something new. Somthing to explore.

I have one question? If you point the radio telescope to the star isn't it possible to miss some plannet which is a little aside from the star?
