Personal background
Hey out there, my name is Mike and well, I'm a high school student and happen to be very interested in theoretical astrophysics. I have been reading many books by Carl Sagan, Stephen W. Hawking and other authors to become better acquainted with the vocation i wish to achieve when I grow older. I am only 15 1/2 years old. I plan on attending MIT and studying astrophysics after I graduate from high school. Anyway...I live in southern California and have a beautiful girlfriend named tara. I'm six foot one and tons of fun!(haha)...I like to write poetry and I used skateboard for three and a half years. well...yeah, thats me!!

Thank you Stephen Hawking!!!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. I believe that there may very well be extra terrestrial life out there. it hurts to think that we are all alone in this sea of nothing...Finding friends in the people of this earth begins to feel a bit trite-in a fulfilling sort of way.

2. I believe in fate and if we were meant to be found in this ocean then a beacon is indifferent in the seach for intelligent life conducted by other beings.

3. I run seti @ home because I feel that the search for extraterrestrial life is just as important as any other science whether it be questionable or widely accepted. All science was at one time questionable, after all.
