Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Of course extraterrestrial life exists, why would anyone think otherwise?! The universe is a giant massive thing, and the fact that life was only able to spring up and flourish on just one planet is sort of rediculous...

Finding other life in the universe could allow for any number of potetial scientific advancements: improved technology, expanded knowledge in physics, biology, chemistry, etc... Most of all, a likely better understanding of ourselves as a living organism of complete consciousness is an outstanding benefit from such a finding, simply from the fact that other fully sentient beings exist and could share their life, culture, and wisdom with us.

I run SETI in order to give anything I can to such an intriguing scientific endevour.
