Personal background
Well, what should I talk about? :o)

I'm a 20 years old German boy from Stuttgart.
I know, this sounds boring... sorry :o)
Well, now you might possibly think, that as a German
boy I only speak German...
... not at all!
I speak Italian, German (ts, of course *g*) and English
(also un petit peu French... but trop.. trop peu.. *g*).

That's not much, but helps communicating with a lot of people
around the world... especially in ICQ :o)

I've just finished school, so I'm enjoying
my time without learning, but listening radio, looking
tv and chatting and so on...

So for now I told enough... let's get to some
more important things :o)
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I have spent till now ten years with computers
and co. and so I was always searching for great
new things and inventions. From the Atari 2600
to the modern computer with CPUs with far more
speed than someone in the past could imagine.

Much of these computers are used for gaming, and
far more are connected to the internet. So, since the first
steps of this giant Net, in fact it was a matter of time,
when the first questions appeared. A lot of people wanted to
decide for the rest of us surfers what it is harmful about
the internet.
A lot of them wanted us users away from the internet, because
it seemed to be harmful and dangerous...

But there where always voices.
Voices, not talking about the danger.
Voices, not talking about what to do or not.
Voices, not talking about the problems of the internet.

No... there where some people, who wanted to see the
chances, wo wanted to explore the possibilites..

Now, we're exploring and step by step we have realized the great
possibilities of the Net. One great idea is Seti!

Seti allows everybody anywhere at any time to be part of
the great search for extraterestrial intelligence.
And why not? It is so impossible that there's life out there?

I think not. Life is seldom... a beautiful diamond in the middle
of a place, where existence seems impossible. And it is so impossible,
that some other species have found this piece of everlasting fortune, too?

Come and join Seti, because searching is better than saying "impossible"
