Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. Yes, but I think that to discover them is toooo difficult. There are no dangers of such a discovery, because if they exists, they cannot come to our planet without using FTL-drive, and it is not possible except SF movies and novels.
2. We are searching. And they may be. They may be waiting for our signal like we are waiting for. So, as possible as, we should transmit any kind of friendly signal like "Hello!" or "Here we are!".
3. It is duty for me. To help to discover new Knowledge. I do not have a hope of "BIG-NEWS" from SETI@home. But I hope.
