Yes I think e.t.is out there but I don't think of them as little green men. I believe that all kinds of life exist from microbes to life not unlike ourselves.
Yes we should transmit a beacon to others. If anything was going to,excuse the hollywoodism, invade us they would have done so by now. Anything with the means to reply may benefit us in the long run.
