Profile: Kregg Kemper

Personal background
I live here in Santa Clara working as a semiconductor technician. I calibrate, test, and repair machines used to make computer chips. I’m 34 years old and married to a cute Japanese lady. I love hiking, fishing, and snorkeling in tropical reefs. Space science has always been a major interest in my life which is partly because of the influence of Carl Sagan’s “cosmos” series. I own it now on DVD and it’s great.
I was hooked on the idea of looking for aliens on my computer the moment I heard about seti@home and have been loading the screen saver on computers whenever I can sneak it on since. I’m looking forward to the worlds reaction when indisputable proof of other civilizations are found and it has to be dealt with.

Peace out,
Kregg
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Maybe not in our life time, but we will find an extraterrestrial signal out and it will most likely be from seti@home or it’s predecessor. The only danger I see in it’s discovery is the religious masses freaking out.
We should send a signal out there with any content, because anyone else who is looking out there is most interested in finding if they are alone or not. Anything we add to the message is gravy. Send out smurf cartoons. It should get them thinking.
