Yes I do believe in extraterrestrial life, however we are not really mentally ready to accept it so it will be beyond my lifetime before they make themselves known to us.
If we do send out a beacon be sure to make sure that the message is that we are very afraid and judging by what i have seen in just our movies it would be better to warn them away for thier own safety.
My views are mixed.. I believe in extraterrestrial life and I believe that they most likely walk among us now.. I run seti because I personally would love to meet them and welcome them here but I fear for their safety.
