Hi alien searchers!
I'm Nina from the Netherlands. I'm 20 years old and ended up at the Seti website because my father really liked it and told me about it.
My pc isn't very quick with the workunits, but in the world list I'm still making progress. ;) It's harder at the Dutch list, because we have a couple of huge fanatics.
In my free time I spend a lot of time behind my computer chatting with my friends or making websites.
Once a week I can also be found at the squash club, which is very weary, but also real fun! Another one of my hobbies is my boyfriend of course! ;) And I like writing stories, reading, watching series (Buffy/Angel/Everwood) or movies (Pirates of the Caribbean/Meet Joe Black/About a Boy/Notting Hill), listening to music and cooking.
Well, that's about it I think.

I really hope extraterrestrial life exists, because that would be really great because it opens a lot of opportunities to learn from each other. The only disadvantage is, I think, that when we really find little ET's, all humans want to know all about them and maybe become bossy over them.
I do think it exists, but probably far far away, so we couldn't (with the present-day technology) reach them.
The reason I run SETI@home is because I've always been fascinated about space and I found it very interesting you can analyse the signals at your own computer. |
