Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
There are too much stars out there to be alone, it would be a big waste of space, like Jodie Foster said in "Contact".

But i believe in a few facts, that prevents extraterrestrial life from contacting us:
1.) hundreds of languages and countries all over the world.
2.) no one really trusts the other, which often results in war
3.) so we are not really interesting to them, or do you really believe that "they" come one day like a big brother to say: "here son, all our knowledge and all we are able to, we will teach you, right now"
4.) if there would be one country and a united world, if we would live and want the same things, if we would accept each other the way we are, there could be a possibility that they may contact us, because there is a chance to see, that we could become a helpfull member in a possible community they may have.
5.) i am very interessted if there is life in our "neighbourhood" and what they may transmit into space, what are they about, how do they look like and what are their goals in life.
6.) I run seti@home to help to possibly answer a few of these questions and because governments not really spent the money they should in projects like this, so it's on us seti users all over the world to help to make it come true one day.
