Personal background
I am a student at Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas. I am majoring in Computer Science and Mathematics and when I am done with that degree, I plan to get another Bachelor's Degree in Physics before moving on to graduate school(Hopefully at U.C. Berkeley). I am a pole vaulter for Angelo State University and hope to at least qualify for nationals in my last two years. I just want to make it to the meet, I don't want to set goals too high. Well, anyway I have not been doing this SETI@Home thing as long as many of you, but I have it running on three of my computers almost constantly.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I find it very hard to believe that extraterrestrial life does not exist, I will not try to convince anybody that it does not exist, but I can't understand how anybody would be so arrogant as to say that there is all that space out there and yet it is all ours. I have to admit that I want life to exist outside this planet, because it is so mysterious and would make a great story. I have watched way too many movies and they have all made me excited about what may exist outside of our world. Maybe some day we will contact life from another world, I hope if it occurs that it occurs in my lifetime, but as always I will be skeptical until it is proven to me.
