Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Why not? If we are alone then what a waste of space.

Benefits, Dangers? You bet. But nothing ventured nothing gained.

Without exploration man will stagnate and become complacent.

With all the varied transmissions we have transmitted so far it it a little late to start wondering what might happen if someone answers.

With all the home pc's there are and all the time people waste surfing, why not invest a little compute time and see what we can see.

As my Mom used to say: "If you don't look for a four leaf clover you sure won't find One".

Good idea and I hope more people invest there time with SETI@Home.
