Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
They are out there. There is no way the Universe can go on forever like this and only have our lonely isolated planet inhabited. I take part in this program not to try and be the fastest, best user. But to participate in a great program which allows normal civilians to take part in such a massive search. It cant be done without volunteers. A beacon has already been sent. I learned that on TLC, but i think more should be sent. And in different directions. show them how we live, that we are peacefull. I think the SETI@home project should increase the size of the work units. Many people have fast computers that complete Work units no sweat. If they were doubled in size, you might have more success in getting results from those people with fast computers, but not constant Internet Access.
