A. Yes I do but I don't know when we will find each other. With any luck it will be within my lifetime.
Q. Should humans transmit a beacon for others to find?
A. The human race has been transmitting a beacon ever since the first transmissions of radio and/or television signals. Because of this I think the question should be what we should do when contact is made.
Q. Why do you run SETI@home?
A. I started to run the client to help SETI but now I also want to progress up the score boards. My computers are on 24/7 and this seemed like a good program to run in the background. I make use of the SETIQueue software to have a local cache of work units and these are updated once a day.
