Personal background
Hello! My Name is Toralf Runge. I study Computersciences at the University of Applied Sciences in Stralsund. I'm working for the seti-projekt together with 5 other people with 11 different PC's: 1 550MHz Pentium3 (Win Nt 4.0), 1 800MHz Duron(W2K proffesional), 1 K6-2 450MHz (suse-linux 7.2), 1 Athlon 1,4 GHz (Win XP professional), 1 1GHz Athlon (W2K proffesional) (sponsored by JAM), 1 1333MHz Athlon (Win XP) (sponsored by SchwesterS), 1 HP-UX-mashine (sponsored bei para @ Agilent), 2 other slow working Win NT clients (sponsored by para), 1 Athlon 1800 XP (Win XP) (sponsored by amiwe) and 1 1GHz Athlon(Win XP professional) (sponsored by Olrik). I'm in the Setigroup FH-Stralusnd and I hope I can help this team to get a good statisitic.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think there will be life anywhere out there... But I'm not sure if we can find it with this project. But I am proud to be part of the most powerfull computersystem in the world!
