Hello, I am just a guy from The Netherlands that has a hobby and a job with computers. And found it funny to join SETI for the search for other live forms.
I started to use the SETI screensaver mainly because I liked the screensaver with the colors and stuff. but also so that my machines are doing something.
Now at this day and age I am not running that screensaver anymore but found it dificult to stop using SETI and I am running it on my linux box at the moment.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Personaly I beleave that there is live out there, but if they uses machines that produce radio or other kind waves that we can hear ???
I think that if other live is out there and wants to find us they will.
So I don't think that we need to transmit a beacon. Besides we already send a lot of radio and TV signals out there.
