Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I hope we will find evidence of ETI, yet feel if we do it will be nearly impossible to have any comprehensive communication. But proof is proof. I like the concept of SETI@Home but feel it is limited with using the Arecibo telescope. SETILive apparently uses the Kepler, but I believe it is not radio. I also feel a secondary project might be useful. This project is focusing on a single recording of the sky. What if we correlated the most likely signals over time to see if there is a pattern. The initial concept seems to assume a repetitive signal in a short period of time, but it is possible the signals are repeated over a month or year as opposed to immediately. So to compare the timing of the strongest and/or most likely signals could accomodate a longer repetition interval.
