Personal background
I'm from a small village (~7.000 people) outside the city of Lund, in the state Skåne in Sweden. My age is currently 19, but on the 27th of august (this year, 2002) I will be 20 years old.
My current occupation is single (thou I do have a girlfriend, but we're not yet married). My hobbies is my computer (mostly programming/scripting some PHP4 or maybe a Delphi-application), or reading a English Science-Fiction book.

I am currently unemployed, but as of 19th august I will attend a 2-year course at Arena College in Malmö/Sweden. It will eventually lead to an exam as an IT-consult in IT-networks.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I strongly believe in the existance of extraterrestrial life. But I doubt that they will confront us, based on what other humans on this planet are currently doing.
It is strange that people can be so self-consentrated, and care about nothing but their self and their possible power over other humans. They can create war over a stupid thing like a bit of land. Why can't they realise that it's not their land, it's humanity's land. Not even that, if you take the thought longer. What I mean you will have to think for yourself. I'm open for all discussions on this subject (extraterrestrial beings).

Will write something longer some other time :)

I run SETI@home because I like the idea of helping out science. My computer often stands doing nothing, since I run dc (dcplusplus.sourceforge.net) often, and over the nights, so I tought it could as well help out while I don't use it.
