| A male born in 1940 into the Rough Footed Clan. Almost anything to do with science (including fiction) is ok and the new technologies are fun if not time consuming (when they work). Reading, classical and various nationalities of folk music and nature take up the rest of the time. But, when all is said and done remember: "Chase The Women!" |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
| Since the network has to be up 24/7 there are many non-assigned cycles that should be put to some use... why not SETI? Unfortunately I suspect it's a lost cause as I have the niggling feeling that most civilizations that can manipulate the physical sciences to the degree we do probably break down after four or five hundred years and as a species cease to exist after fifty to one hundred thousand years. All the more reason to... chase the women... now. |
