| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

| Yes life exists, on Earth and elsewhere. Of that I have no doubt. In fact, I don't want to live in a world where that is false. Finding evidence of, or contacting extraterrestrial life would change my life -- all of our lives, though there would be an initial moment of knowing that one less mystery exists. We're at the moment where there could be anything out there, and it holds all the breathless excitment of potential. I run SETI@home to help the search, and to remind myself every day that that potential exists. |
