Personal background
I am from Florida. I have been associated with companies involved in the space program since the beginning. I have always been fascinated with science and space programs. I am pleased to have the opportunity to help out in this massive undertaking. I do not believe we should ever stop learning or trying to reach beyond what we know or understand.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think intelligent life is possible elsewhere. Exploration always involves dangers. The spread of desease, contaminating another culture with ideas or goods that might have negative effects, confrontation with another species, but our nature is to explore and explore we will. We hopefully learn as we go and will tread lightly and wisely. I think we should continue with the present programs and see what develops. If we send out any type of beacon at this time, it should be limited to simple instructions for others to help us to find signs of their general location. I like the way SETI is organized and run and hope it has continuing support.
