Personal background
I am from the great state of New Jersey (sarcasm). There is nothing here that is ordinary. Everyday is some unordinary experience. I am 23 years old. I am a closing agent for a mortgage firm. I also play in a rock band called "In The Grey". No, the name has nothing to do with aliens. I found out about this program through my cousin (computer geek :) I have always felt that we can not be the only planet with life on it. Hey, if it can happen here why is it so hard to believe that it can happen elsewhere. Though I do have a hard time believing people saying that they've been ubducted. I also think of this as playing the lottery. I would love it to be my computer that makes the breakthrough. Well,I guess I'll just have to sit back and enjoy the silence for now.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Extraterrestrial life does exist. I can't say when and how we'll discover it. We may never discover it, but making an effort is very important. I think the information for the beacon should consist of a welcome message and a web page address (seeing how everyone these days has a web page). I think if there were dangers then we would have seen them by now. If ET's wanted to destroy planets and had the capabilities then we would be a peanut floating in space right now. I don't really have any suggestions on the project. Maybe include some sound?
